A 3kW system suits a family using 300 to 400 units a month, typically a 2–3 BHK with one AC. It gets the full ₹78,000 central subsidy, and going bigger doesn’t raise it.

PM Surya Ghar Solar Subsidy: How We Help
Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Maharashtra homes get ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2kW and ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW, up to ₹78,000. The system must use DCR panels and be fitted by a registered vendor like us. Maharashtra has no general state top-up, but low-use homes may qualify for Swayampurna.
